Business Should Focus on Social Media The Chris Voss Show

Geo Targeting or Social Media Marketing ?

In today's world where your customer seldom picks up and or opens a yellow page directory to find your business it is very important to be found on-line. And to be found first. So SEO Search Engine Optimization is important but so is Marketing via Social Media.

You want your customers to become fans of your business and to promote it to all their friends and family. With the research tool of the internet people no longer trust advertising. People have DVR Digital Video Recorder that allow them to skip commercials when they watch TV or are watching TV on their laptop. Just like many have read consumer reports before making a purchase people can now get reviews on just about anything on-line. The business with the old Web 1.0 Stagnant Website that just sits like a billboard and does not allow interaction with customers may be trying to hide something.

Proudly display your Company and allow feedback that will allow improvements to your product and service and make fans that will become trusted advisors and promote your business virally.

So both Geo Targeting and Social Media Marketing are important as they are different advertising means. Social media will draw prospects to your website and into your business over a time frame where Geo Targeting is to attract the buyer who is ready to buy today and may be driving by doing a search on a mobile phone. Make sure you have budgeted for both means. Just like in the old days you budgeted for print, and other forms of media advertising like radio or TV.

Please comment about your success with either Geo Targeting or Social Media Marketing.

Geo Targeting Marketing Technology

Small to medium businesses have to stay abreast of the latest marketing trends in order to grow their business. In the age where potential customers no longer use yellow pages to find them it becomes more important not just to have an internet presence. But to be on the first page of a Google Search when a potential buyer enters any keywords that would refer to their business.

Small business can afford to compete with the big companies now that spend millions to be on that first page on a local basis with the latest geo-targeted technologies. This gives him local buyers in a 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 mile radius of their business. Many of these buyers are ready to buy and using Google Searches on their cell phones as they drive by looking for you.
